Clark State Forest is Indiana’s oldest Department of Natural Resources property, established in the early 20th century. Originally known as the State Forest Reservation and Experiment Station, it was created to grow trees and explore the best methods for helping them thrive. Today, that mission continues—and has expanded. Clark State Forest now actively manages forest resources year-round while offering various recreational opportunities, including camping, fishing, hiking and more.
Note: Cost to enter is $7 for Indiana residents and $9 for those visiting from out of state. Admission is free with an annual state park permit from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
