Located on the banks of the Ohio River is the Falls of the Ohio State Park. The 390-million-year-old fossil beds are among the largest exposed Devonian fossil beds in the world. The park features a spectacular Interpretive Center overlooking the fossil beds, featuring new interactive and immersive exhibits. Programming for all ages offered year-round.
Note: Parking at Falls of the Ohio State Park is $2 per vehicle. Cost to enter the Interpretive Center is $9 for ages 12 and older, $7 for ages 6 - 11, and ages 5 and under get in free. Admission is free with an annual state park permit from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.

Located in the heart of the NoCo Arts & Cultural District, The Depot is Jeffersonville’s newest venue for events and entertainment. The city hosts a variety of events at The Depot, and it is available for private rentals. The venue features an outdoor stage, plush lawn, full-service bar by The Alcove, local food trucks and boutique shops – Bad Cat Boutique, Loud!, Sister Ray Records and Mood. Deam Lake offers recreational activities such as fishing, boating, swimming, camping, picnicking, hiking and hunting in designated areas. The 194-acre lake was constructed in 1965 and was named in honor of Charles Deam, Indiana's first state forester. Deam is best known for his book, Trees of Indiana, a comprehensive study of trees throughout the state. He was also instrumental in setting aside land for what is now the Department of Natural Resources. The lake's beach is open from the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day.
Bike, walk, run or scoot across the Ohio River on the Big Four Bridge, a 1-mile paved trail connecting Jeffersonville’s Big Four Station Park to Louisville’s Waterfront Park (2 miles round trip). Both parks have playgrounds! Walk the bridge during the day to watch mighty river barges pass underneath. At night, feel the breeze as you gaze at Louisville’s spectacular city lights shining on the water.

The Floyd County Carnegie Library Cultural Arts Center is one of Southern Indiana’s cultural cornerstones. Housed in New Albany’s original library building, the Cultural Arts Center has ongoing exhibits about the history of the Underground Railroad in the region and the remarkable life story of celebrated Civil War nurse Lucy Higgs Nichols. We can do it! The Rosie the Riveter statue calls attention to Clarksville’s can-do spirit while honoring Rose Will Monroe, one of four “official” Rosie the Riveters during World War II. Monroe was a single mother who worked as a riveter in a Michigan aircraft factory. After the war, she settled in Clarksville where she remarried, gained an aircraft pilot’s license and ran her own construction company while raising her children. Clark State Forest is Indiana’s oldest Department of Natural Resources property, established in the early 20th century. Originally known as the State Forest Reservation and Experiment Station, it was created to grow trees and explore the best methods for helping them thrive. Today, that mission continues—and has expanded. Clark State Forest now actively manages forest resources year-round while offering various recreational opportunities, including camping, fishing, hiking and more.

Charlestown State Park is Indiana’s 3rd largest state park with over 15 miles of hiking trails, 192 campsites and an Ohio River Boat Launch. Picnic tables, playgrounds and shelters are available for day use activities. Interpretive Programs are offered year-round, teaching participants of all ages the history, natural and cultural resources Southern Indiana has to offer.
